Speaking on a TV program,  the Naifaru Constituency MP stated that he will continue to condemn the attack on the Speaker Mohamed Nasheed on any platform. He then stated that if the current administration does not ensure justice for the Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, then a PPM government will do it.

He further stated that he supports the inquiry by the Parliament’s Committee on National Security (241 committee).

The 241 committee’s inquiry has caused controversy with the Maldives National Defence Force refusing to send in individual soldiers to the inquiry, stating that they will answer as an institution. Sources close to Speaker Mohamed Nasheed has accused President Solih of being behind MNDF’s decisions and accusing the President of trying to undermining the inquiry.
